The Finnish League for Human Rights organisation monitors the overall situation of human rights in Finland.

The Finnish League for Human Rights

  • We spread information about human rights and bring to light cases of human rights infringements in Finland.
  • We provide human rights education and training.
  • We influence legislators and decision-makers to promote the fulfilment of human rights requirements in Finland.

Our vision: We want a Finland where everyone’s human rights are fully respected.

The Finnish League for Human Rights, founded in 1979, is an independent organisation with no religious or political affiliations. It has over 1,100 members.

The Finnish League for Human Right is a member of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH).

In addition to its members and donors, the work of the Finnish League for Human Rights is funded by, among others, the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Finnish Gaming Company (Veikkaus).
